Written in the early part of the twentieth century, Patti's Social Season is about the day to day life of a well-to-do young lady as she makes her debut into society. She and her friends attend parties and events, but also find time to do good deeds. The book is not very realistic for today but it was an interesting and fun look back at another time for a certain segment of society. I will probably read other books in this series. Patti is harmless.Product details

Patty Social Season Carolyn Wells 9781523227365 Books Reviews
Personally, I don't have much patience with Patty. I suppose it is good escapist fiction, but reading about such a spoiled, rich little flirt gives the feeling of eating too much candied fruit. Bilious. There are much more satisfying reads out there. Give me Edna Ferber anyday!
